ICST and higher education

The objective of this research theme is to study how ICST (information and communication sciences and technologies), can contribute to the development, expansion and increased social and international access of the French higher education system, in particular the "classes preparatoires aux grandes écoles" and similar study programmes.

Initial research programme

• Define educational innovations boosted by ICST in higher education (including the creation of digital content) and including education sciences and based on the experience of teachers who have developed and tested content.
• Study new ways of behaving in the face of values transmitted by ICST - access to free information via the internet, access to open software, dematerialization of inter-personal relationships via distance learning.
• Chart the use and integration of ICST in higher education.
• Develop the impact of ICST on the promotion (both at home and abroad) of higher education courses.
  • Develop a bilingual (or even multilingual) "ICST and higher education" Web site that will contribute to the expansion of French teaching in the francophone world and beyond and that, for the entire educational community and in particular the "classes preparatoires aux grandes écoles" and similar study programmes, will constitute:
  • A complete information area on the research work in progress (publication of surveys and studies).
    A technology watch.
