The Foundation's management & operating committees

The Knowledge and Technologies Research Foundation will be managed and made operational through 3 committees. The names of committee members will appear on this page.

Executive committee

The Knowledge and Technologies Research Foundation will be managed by an Executive committee, chaired by a Director and with thirteen members:

• the president of the Sophia Antipolis Foundation and the Director of the Knowledge and Technologies Research Foundation,
• eight representatives of bodies supporting the Knowledge and Technologies Research Foundation ("major sponsors", "partners" and "friends"),
• three qualified "personalities", selected for their skills in the Foundation's area of work.

Through its resolutions, the executive committee governs the activities of the Knowledge and Technologies Research Foundation. In particular:

• it defines action plans, taking into account the recommendations of the Scientific and Honorary committees,
• it decides the budgets to be allocated to the action plans it defines,
• it studies, discusses and approves the Foundation's Annual Report and Financial Report.

Scientific committee

The Scientific Committee of the Knowledge and Technologies Research Foundation is responsible for drawing up recommendations for the Executive Committee as to the strategic focuses of the Foundation and its research programme. It comprises scientific "personalities", from France and elsewhere, who have achieved international recognition in the Foundation's field of work. It will meet once a year at the invitation of the Director.

Honorary committee

The Honorary Committee of the Knowledge and Technologies Research Foundation comprises "personalities" from the political, academic, economic & social worlds, who have agreed to be the Foundation's patrons. Its role is to draw up recommendations for the Executive Committee on the strategic focuses of the Foundation, its action plan and way of working. It will meet at the invitation of the Foundation's director.
